EuRoPol GAZ s.a. as the owner of the compressor stations has been participating in the Emission Trading System since 2008. Moreover, our compressor stations are covered by the National Implementation Measures for the period of 2021 – 2025 (Phase IV).
The Company has obtained permits for participation in the system and it has the approved Monitoring Plans that describe the uniform procedures related to CO2 emission monitoring and reporting, compliant with the relevant legal regulations.
Annual positive results of auditing the yearly CO2 emission reports conducted by accredited auditors confirm correct operation of our CO2 emission monitoring and reporting system. These audits are approved without any objections by the National Centre for Emission Balancing and Management.
In 2015, the Company additionally obtained from the auditor the Certificate of Compliance with the EU ETS, confirming that the data presented in the annual report meet the requirements of the Commission Regulation (EU) 601/2012 on the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions.
